On December 29th, the Bibb County Sheriff's Office said an out-of-town couple was visiting friends in a neighborhood off of Bowman Road. They were walking their pet schnauzer when three loose pit bulls attacked the dog and killed it, Lieutenant Sean DeFoe said.

DeFoe said the couple was bitten trying to fend off the dogs. The couple's bites were not serious.
