MARYLAND -- Two dogs, a mom and her pup, were rescued from the subfreezing temperatures and snow-covered ground near a Wawa in Beltsville Tuesday night.
A member of the Branchville Volunteer Fire Company offered the dogs a ride, which they happily accepted, and they spent the evening at the station.
The Greenbelt Animal Shelter picked the dogs up Wednesday morning.
The owners have five days to claim them. If that doesn’t happen, the shelter says they will be put up for adoption if they are found to be well-tempered and once the older dog is spayed and younger one is neutered.
