Hunt for Norwich man filmed violently punching a dog

UNITED KINGDOM -- RSPCA inspectors are on the hunt for a man from Norwich after he was caught on CCTV violently punching his dog at least four times.

Shocking images released by the RSPCA show the dog apparently sitting placidly by a kerb before its owner punches it hard at least four times.

RSPCA inspector Laura Sayer said: "You can clearly see the dog being punched in the head with some considerable force, several times.

  

  

  

  

  

  

  

  

  

  

"The dog shows clear signs of fear and we are very concerned about his or her welfare."

The incident happened in Jex Road, Norwich, at about 1.30pm on February 9.

The dog was wondering loose and the man can be seen reaching down to put a lead on the collar before launching the attack.

Inspectors do not know the breed, but think it is a pit bull-type with white markings on the front leg and chest.
