VIRGINIA -- A Nathalie woman is recovering at home after her and her dogs were attacked by a pit bull on Monday. Tracy Jensen was walking her two dogs on Monday when a pit bull and another dog approached her.
She said the pit bull attacked her jack russell terrier, and wouldn't let go. It also bit her hands and arm multiple times as she was trying to save her jack russell terrier.
In fear for her life, she picked up her other dog and got away.
"I looked at Russell and I was like, I'm so sorry,” said Tracy Jensen on “So I just grabbed her and just went as quietly as I could back to the house. It was just horrible. Nobody should have to see that."
The two dogs involved in the attack were both found and are being held at the Halifax County Animal Shelter. They are quarantining the dogs to see if they show any signs of rabies. Jensen says the dogs did not have tags and they do not know who the dogs belong to.
