INDIANA -- An 8-year-old boy sustained a broken wrist Sunday when he was bitten by an escaped dog in Richmond.
The child was transported to Reid Hospital by ambulance with a broken right wrist, said Richmond Police Department Capt. Jim Branum.
He was visiting a playmate’s home in the 400 block of South Sixth Street before 6 p.m. Sunday when the dog escaped from its home when a door was opened, Branum said.
The dog was taken to an animal shelter holding pen.
