MONTANA -- After several reports of wild rabbits being shot with blow darts, the Gallatin County Sheriff’s Office animal control officer is seeking information to help find the culprits.
According to the sheriff’s office, the rabbits have been seen recently with blow darts protruding from various parts of their bodies.
Dispatch logs show that callers from the Landmark subdivision near Belgrade reported seeing dart-riddled bunnies. Several people in the subdivision reported seeing youths with blow dart guns in the area.
Animal control officer Kathy Middleton said those responsible could be charged criminally for injuring the rabbits.
