One officer was bitten after the dog's owner sicced his cur on the cops, who were responding to complaints about a large aggressive dog camped out in front of the Morgan Stanley building on Broadway between 47th St. and 48th St. about 10:30 p.m., authorities said.

“If you get close to me I’ll have the dog attack you,” the man menaced, according to an NYPD spokesman.
“Then he blew a whistle and the dog attacked,” the spokesman said.
The officer was bitten on both legs and an arm, officials said. He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital where he was being tested for rabies.
The dog and its owner were taken into custody about three hours later on Fifth Ave. and 44th St.
Police handed the canine over to animal control, where it will be monitored for the next 10 days as it gets tested for rabies.

Charges were pending against the owner early Sunday.
About a half-hour after this attack, police wrestled with another dog, this time as it mauled a woman in Brooklyn.
The officers on patrol in Bedford-Stuyvesant tried to intervene after they spotted that canine attacking a 40-year-old woman on Marcus Garvey Blvd. and Halsey St., police said.
The cops tried to pry the animal loose but it had latched onto its victim, authorities said.
That’s when one officer fired a single shot, striking the dog and freeing the woman.
The victim was taken to Kings County Hospital with bite marks to the neck and face and listed stable condition.
Both officers were treated for tinnitus at Wykoff Heights Medical Center.
The condition of the shot dog was not immediately released.
