Shaun Hardy charged with animal abuse on a kitten

VIRGINIA -- A man is charged with animal cruelty for stomping on and throwing his ex-girlfriend’s kitten.

Sunday afternoon, Kingsport police said a woman called them to an apartment on Chadwick Drive. She was waiting there for Shaun Hardy to bring his children home.

She told authorities Hardy went inside and got upset his ex-girlfriend wasn’t there.

Then, according to the court affidavit, the ex-girlfriend’s “kitten was laying on the floor and Shaun stomped it. He then picked it up and threw it across the apartment. It struck the rear wall of the bedroom.”

After that, it said he took “flour and Worcestershire sauce from the kitchen and threw it all over (the ex-girlfriend’s) clothes and bed.”

Warner left and the woman found the kitten on the bed, and said it appeared to be dead.

Hardy was arrested and charged with aggravated cruelty to an animal.
