Two Clarksville men charged with animal cruelty

TENNESSEE -- Two Clarksville men were arrested Wednesday and charged with cruelty to animals.

According to their arrests warrants, Robert French and Joseph Haase allowed their dog, Hope, to become infested with fleas, have severe mange and open wounds without seeking treatment from a vet to alleviate her suffering.

The dog was taken into protective custody by a Montgomery County Animal Control officer.
Both men listed their address as 806 Turtle Creek Dr.

French, 41, and Haase, 46, were each charged with one count of cruelty to animals and booked into the Montgomery County Jail on $5,000 bond but were released on their own recognizance.
