Woman Charged in Animal Cruelty Case Enters Plea

PENNSYLVANIA -- The woman charged with animal cruelty after a dog was found in horrific conditions in her home has entered a plea in Erie County Court.

Today Angelique Miles entered a plea of guilty to two misdemeanor counts of cruelty to animals.

It was Miles home where six month old Rocky was found back in April of this year living in horrific conditions.

Those who recovered Rocky said he was found neglected, dehydrated and locked in a metal cage.

Miles was arrested shortly after Rocky’s discovery and charged with cruelty to animals. Her attorney says she has accepted responsibility from the beginning but she has received numerous threats from the public. He hopes that has come to an end now that her plea has been entered.

Miles sentencing is set for August 17, where she could face fines and a minimum of 90 days in prison.

Miles has been out of jail and is currently getting help for some of her mental health issues according to her attorney Ian Murray.
