Pit bull attack reported at Four Oaks motel

NORTH CAROLINA -- Two people were hurt Thursday afternoon in a dog attack at the Travelers Inn in Four Oaks off I-95.

Police said they were called around 3:20 p.m. When officers arrived, they found a pit bull with its jaws locked around a woman's arm.

Officers tried to pull the dog off, but couldn't, so they shot it.

One of the injured is reportedly in serious condition.

It's unclear who the dog belong to. Police continue to investigate.
