Jennifer Christine Lintel, 41, charged with animal cruelty for allegedly starving her donkey and horse

ARIZONA -- A Kingman woman is facing animal cruelty charges after authorities say they found a sick horse and burro at her home.
Deputies with the Mohave County Sheriff's Office responded to a property in the 2600 block of Clack Canyon Road on Monday after receiving a report that a burro and horse didn't have shade or water, were extremely underweight and were in need of medical attention.

Deputies say the burro was found lying on its side with a wrapped leg that was a dark color, swollen and "in an anatomically incorrect" position.

A Mohave County Sheriff's spokeswoman says the animals also were without shade, water, extremely underweight and in need of a veterinarian.

The 41-year-old Lintel was charged with two felony charges of animal cruelty. It was not known if she had an attorney.
