FLORIDA -- Three people were arrested during a drug bust at a home where a severely neglected dog was found.
Hernando Sheriff's deputies had been conducting undercover purchases of methamphetamine at the home in the 5200 block of Deltona Boulevard that is just 1,000 feet from Fox Chapel Middle School.
On Aug. 28 just before 10 a.m., Hernando Sheriff's detectives executed a search warrant at the home and found two dogs on the property, one of which was suffering from severe neglect.

The dog was removed by an Animal Enforcement Officer and taken to Hernando County Animal Services for evaluation.
The other dog appeared to be in good health and was left on scene with the owner.
A search of the residence revealed the following:

•3.1 grams of methamphetamine
•4.35 grams of unidentified white powdery substance (to be sent for testing)
•Numerous glass smoking pipes with methamphetamine residue
•Numerous small baggies with methamphetamine residue
