Texas: Police need help identifying who tortured and skinned a family's Chihuahua before dumping its tiny body

TEXAS -- The Odessa Police department is asking for the public's assistance with any information in reference to animal cruelty that occurred in the 300 block of East 17th Street.


On Sunday afternoon at approximately 1:57 p.m., Odessa Police responded to the 200 block of East 17th Street in reference to a request officer.

Upon arrival, officers made contact with the complainant, who advised they found their Chihuahua in the 300 block of East 17th Street, that appeared to have been skinned and tortured.

Animal Control was escorted to the location of the deceased dog.



At this time, no arrests have been made and there are no suspects. This is currently being investigated as Cruelty to Non-livestock Animals, a State Jail Felony.
