South Bend man, Ares Howard, pleads guilty to animal abuse

INDIANA -- A South Bend man accused of killing several neighborhood cats (and other small animals) will be sentenced in December.

 
 
 

Ares Howard faced eleven counts of killing or mutilating domestic animals after a dozen dead cats, squirrels, and rabbits were found in an alley behind the 700-block of East Indiana Avenue in March of 2014.

Howard pleaded guilty to two counts and has since bonded out of jail.

He'll be sentenced December 3rd.
