Michigan: Jordan Fields turned his pit bull into a walking skeleton, says he "couldn't afford" to feed him

MICHIGAN -- An update on an animal cruelty case.

Jordan Fields went in front of an Isabella County judge on Friday.

In November, Fields dropped off this starving dog in Mount Pleasant at the Isabella County Animal Shelter claiming that he was simply a Good Samaritan who'd found the dog.

They say Jordan Fields now admits he "could not afford" to feed the dog.

Fields is now charged with abandoning it, cruelty to an animal, having an unlicensed dog, and failure to keep it vaccinated.

He'll be back in court next week.

Meanwhile, the pit bull - renamed Doug - is slowly recovering.
