"The dog, a dog got through the gate and attacked my dog in the backyard. So I need, like, an animal control," the caller told a 911 dispatcher.

Dispatchers received the 911 call from a Cocoa resident on Cambridge Drive who said a dog came after his dog.
Police said both dogs were pit bulls. Cocoa police Officer Jeff Aiken was also bitten.
"The way he explained the incident to me is that it happened in the blink of an eye," said Yvonne Martinez, with the Cocoa Police Department.
Aiken said the dog charged after him.
"He knocked on the door, so he turns around to leave, and the door just slammed open. Before he knew it, the dog was on him," Martinez said.
The dog grabbed his right leg, and he tried kicking with his left.
The officer drew his weapon and backed up slowly, because he was in fear for his life. Brevard County Animal Services responded and secured the aggressive dog.
Aiken suffered bite wounds to his right leg.
WESH 2 News asked how the officer is doing following the attack.
"He's at home laid up. He's sore, but he's doing well," Martinez said.
Authorities said the other dog was severely injured as a result of the attack. Police said the attacking dog was not up to date on its shots.
Brevard County Animal Control euthanized the attacking dog, and his owner was cited.
The owner of the dog that attacked the officer and the other dog faces a number of citations, including fines totaling $1,000.
