Police say Angela Bartlett, 32, from the Town of Sullivan failed to provide adequate shelter and food to her young male German Shepherd mix.
Bartlett, an employee at Wanderer's Rest Humane Association, was arrested and charged with failure to provide adequate food or water to a dog, a misdemeanor, and failed to provide appropriate shelter for the animal which was left outdoors which is just a violation.
The sheriff's office say they received a complaint from a neighbor and the department then attempted to do education efforts with Bartlett and an animal control officer in early November.

The department followed up on December 28 and found the dog was still underweight and had the animal seized.
Bartlett is due back in court on February 2.
She could face a significant fine and/or jail time if convicted.
