Florida: Sentenced to 5 years for each of the 39 counts of animal cruelty, Ronnie Williams should have sat in jail for 195 years. Instead, he served just over 4 years and was released yesterday

FLORIDA -- On or about October 29, 2010, investigators found a total of 32 dead Greyhounds that had clearly died of neglect inside Ron Williams' kennels.

Five Greyhounds were still alive, but had also suffered from extreme neglect and starvation.

Duct tape was found tightly wrapped around the necks of three living Greyhounds and one of the dead Greyhounds. The living ones were lying in their own waste and in skeletal condition.

Six large plastic bags were found that contained remains of an unknown number of animals. The bags were wet with rotted remains.

Six dead Greyhounds were found inside freezers.

Ronnie Williams was charged and pleaded no contest to 39 counts of animal cruelty.

The judge sentenced him to five years per count on each of the 39 counts. However, the judge also said he could serve these sentences concurrently rather than consecutively. So after just four years, 2 months and 18 days, Ronnie Williams was released from prison to go on with his disgusting life.
