New York: Stockport woman, Patricia Gregory, 42, arrested for animal cruelty abandoned her pets to die

NEW YORK -- The New York State Police arrested a Stockport woman on several counts of animal cruelty.

NYSP were sent to Majestic Drive in the town of Stockport for a welfare check on January 14.

When troopers arrived at the residence to interview the homeowner, they located several malnourished dogs in need of medical attention. Three deceased dogs were also found inside the residence.


According to police, the home was in very poor condition with urine and feces covering the floor. The dogs also did not have access to food or water.

Patricia Gregory, 42, had moved out of the home in November 2015, police said. She was later located and arrested on 14 counts of animal cruelty.

 

The dogs are now in the care of the Columbia-Greene Humane Society, and they are available for adoption. The humane society can be reached at (518) 828-6044 or at CGHS.org.

Gregory is scheduled to appear in Town of Stockport Court on February 1.
