North Carolina: Patricia Williams in custody in animal starvation case

NORTH CAROLINA -- Patricia Ann Williams turned herself in to the Wilson County Sheriff’s Office this morning. Williams was sought by the sheriff’s office after 11 dead dogs were found inside and outside a residence at 9235 Lefty Road, Kenly.

Patricia Williams was taken before the magistrate and is in the Wilson County Detention Center under a $5,000 bond.


Charges include 11 counts of animal cruelty, 21 counts failure to vaccinate, 23 counts abandonment and 11 counts of kill animal by starvation.

The sheriff’s office is still looking for Jimmy Carroll Williams (aka Jimmy Williams Jr) in this case. They say he may be out of state. He faces similar charges.

 
 
 

The Wilson County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public for any information that may lead to the arrest of Jimmy Williams. The nine dogs remain at the Wilson County Animal Shelter at this time where they are being cared for.
