United Kingdom: Vickilee Galloway, 36, in court charged with dog attack which left two people injured

UNITED KINGDOM -- A woman is to stand trial charged with setting a Staffordshire bull terrier on two people leaving them seriously injured.

Vickilee Galloway, 36, allegedly caused the dog to attack Brian Pennie and Stacey Ann Findlay in February last year.

Prosecutors claim the animal did repeatedly bite the pair on the head and body at a house in Peterhead, Aberdeenshire.

Galloway herself is also said to have kicked and stamped on Mr Pennie and struggled with Ms Findlay. The attacks are said have been to the pair's severe injury, permanent disfigurement and to the danger of life.

As well as the assault allegations, Galloway, also of Peterhead, faces a separate charge under the Dangerous Dogs Act.

Judge Lord Boyd set a trial for September in Aberdeen at preliminary hearing at the High Court in Glasgow on Wednesday. Galloway's bail was continued meantime.
