Connecticut: Seven dogs seized following investigation into suspected animal cruelty

CONNECTICUT -- Seven dogs have been seized from an address in Quaker Hill on Friday.

Waterford Police say that along with members of the state, Waterford, and East Lyme Animal Control, a search and seizure warrant was executed on Friday at 471 Mohegan Avenue Parkway in Quaker Hill. Police say the warrant was issued following an ongoing investigation into suspected animal cruelty.


When officers executed the warrant, they seized seven dogs, along with additional evidence. Police say another dog was found dead. The dogs were taken to local animal shelters.

Police say they are anticipating applying for an arrest warrant. There is no word as to who police believe is responsible for the incident.
