Oregon: Agustin Garcia, 56, accused of sexual assault of an animal

OREGON -- A 56-year-old man is charged with the sexual assault of an animal.

Police say they arrested Agustin Lara Garcia for the incidents that reportedly occurred in late February.

The Yamhill County District Attorney’s Office charged Garcia with two counts of sexual abuse, which is a Class C felony.


According to court records, Garcia “did unlawfully, and for the purpose of arousing or gratifying the sexual desire of a person, touched and contacted the anus or sex organs of a horse or mule.”

Garcia appeared in court on Friday and released on conditions that he not have contact with animals while pending trial.

The next time Garcia is scheduled to be in court is March 30.
