Wisconsin: Richard Gilbert, 52, arrested after shooting and killing two cats

WISCONSIN -- A town of Campbell man faces animal cruelty charges that accuse him of killing two cats.

A witness said Richard Gilbert, 52, shot the two stray cats in March, according to town of Campbell police reports.

Police discovered the decomposing cats in the yards of 140 and 146 Walnut Street on Tuesday.


Gilbert denies killing the animals. He returns to La Crosse County Circuit Court on April 20 and is free on a $500 signature bond.
