A Queensland Ambulance Services spokesperson confirmed the woman was taken to hospital with a "u-shaped" laceration around the hand and thumb area, with minor bleeding.
As the RRC investigations continue, they would like to remind dog owners to take the proper precautions to ensure both people and their pet's safety.
"Council would like to extend its sympathy to the person and pet owners who were involved in a dog attack in North Rockhampton today," RRC chief executive officer Evan Pardon said following the incident.
"Council has seized two dogs and have begun investigations into the circumstances of the attack.
"It's a concern that in the past 12 months Council has dealt with 78 reported dog attacks on people and we'd like to remind dog owners to take every precaution to ensure their property is properly fenced and that their pet remains on a lead in public places."
Earlier this afternoon police were called to a residence on the corner of Dean and Plahn streets about 1.13pm following reports two dogs had attacked a smaller dog, and the woman.
The woman suffered no other clinical injuries.
