PREVIOUS KNOWN ARRESTS:
A Louisville man has been charged with a violent attack on his live-in girlfriend. Gyasi Tamon Tucker, 36, was arrested July 4. His arrest report says Tucker used his hands and arms in an attempt to strangle the woman.
Police say the woman lost consciousness during the assault. She was taken to University of Louisville Hospital for treatment of what are being called serious physical injuries.
Tucker was booked into Louisville Metro Corrections on one count of assault.
(WDRB) A Louisville man has been charged with multiple counts of cruelty to animals after several emaciated animals were found at his home, according to arrest reports.
Police say authorities went to the home of 35-year-old Gyasi Tamon Tucker on July 26, and found several suffering animals, including five dogs, two snakes and four fish.
Tucker had recently been evicted, according to the arrest warrant.
Authorities say the five dogs were in "emaciated condition." There were also two snakes without water at the home, that were described as "very thin." Police say they also found four fish in a tank with no filtration.
Additionally, two dead dogs were allegedly found in the garage in crates. Authorities say the dogs had been dead for so long that a necropsy (an autopsy for animals) was not possible.
The dead dogs belonged to an unidentified accomplice, according to police.
Tucker was arrested on Monday night and charged with 13 counts of cruelty to animals and 13 counts of failure to provide provision of necessities. All of the accounts were misdemeanor charges.
