"The dog belongs to another resident of 753 Sanborn Road," Hankard said. "The dog was released to its owner."

The maximum penalty for a conviction on a Class B felony is 3 ½ to 7 years in prison. The court may also prohibit any person convicted of animal cruelty from having ownership or custody of animals, or for any period of time a judge deems reasonable or impose any other restrictions on the person's future ownership or custody of animals as necessary for the protection of the animals.
Glover was released on $1,500 personal recognizance bail and is scheduled to be arraigned in the 6th Circuit District Division Franklin Court on July 11.
