Oklahoma: Rogers County deputies investigate animal cruelty case involving drowned kittens

OKLAHOMA -- The Rogers County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an animal cruelty case involving drowned kittens.

A volunteer at Oologah Lake told deputies he heard two men laughing and throwing things into the water early Tuesday morning. He thought they were throwing trash into the lake so he went to stop them.

As he drove up, the witness said they threw something behind a rock and drove away. He checked and found a kitten there. He found five more floating in the lake where the men were.

There are no surveillance cameras in the area so investigators are hoping someone knows the suspects and will turn them in.
