SOUTH CAROLINA -- A woman was charged with animal cruelty after leaving two cats in a Rock Hill home when she moved out, according to police.
A resident on Shenandoah Circle on Thursday told officers that the tenants across the street moved out of their home a week ago after the home had been foreclosed on.
The tenants packed up only a few items and left, leaving two cats in the home with no lights or air conditioning.
Police say they saw a kennel with two bowls but could not see any food or water for the animals.
Officers obtained a search warrant for the home, which was filled with clothing, furniture and other household items on the floor, the report states. York County Animal Control seized the two cats.
Crystal VanCamp was arrested Tuesday and released on personal recognizance, according to jail records.
