Tennessee: Nicholas Woods, 20, charged with killing puppy, punching girlfriend in the face

TENNESSEE -- Investigators said a man killed a puppy and punched his girlfriend in the face in Memphis.

The crimes happened July 1 at an apartment complex on N. Lauderdale Street.

A woman said her boyfriend threw her puppy against the wall, killing the pup. She said he then started punching her in the face when she tried to help her puppy.

Memphis Police Department arrested Nicholas Woods, 20, and charged him with aggravated animal cruelty and domestic assault.

Woods is in jail on a $3,500 bond.
