COLORADO -- An animal control officer was bit by dogs while on a call for service, Colorado Springs police said Friday.
While investigating what was going on, a neighbor invited the officer into her backyard near Fountain Park. When she went to open the back door to let her two dogs out, both ran out and attacked the officer, biting him multiple times, police said.
The officer was able to get away and call for help. It's unclear if he was seriously hurt.
Tammy Davis was cited for possession of a dangerous animal and both dogs were taken by the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region, police said.
The breed of the dogs were not released by police.
