Thursday, August 4, 2016 at approximately 4:00 P.M., officers were called to the 4200 block of Steelton to assist a Beaumont Police Animal Services Officer.
The animal service officer was doing a follow up on an animal cruelty case. He was inside his animal services vehicle attempting to write a citation when the suspect pinned him in the vehicle and began assaulting him.

The animal service officer was treated for minor injuries.
Officers located 25 lbs of marijuana in the house. Narcotics Investigators are handling that part of the investigation and will follow up with additional charges.
