DOG ATTACK
At 7.30pm tonight, in the field behind St. James Church, my husband and dog were both attacked by a [Staffordshire pit bull] type dog.
Davy is in hospital and Bos will be back at the vets tomorrow for stitches - his ear would have been ripped off completely were it not for my husband, who was bitten on the face and forearm.
The dog was black and not on a lead, the owner was a white male, approx. 30 years old, wearing a top and scruffy jogging bottoms. He left the scene with his dog, though several people did come to help Davy. This has been reported to the police, so if anyone has any information it would be greatly appreciated, especially from anyone who may have witnessed this.
Meanwhile, be careful: Before the attack, the man shouted, "Don't worry, mate, it's fine, he's fine."
