Washington: Golden Retriever Bella attacked by pit bull at dog park; pit bull owner grabbed his dog and fled

WASHINGTON -- Last Sunday evening (Sept. 4th) our dog Bella was viciously and spontaneously attacked by a Pit bull Terrier at the south hill dog park. Many of you know Bella to be the sweetheart she is and would never provoke another dog.

The owner is a white male about 20 to 25 years old. He is tall, thin and has light brown hair. His dog is tall and a rather large Pit bull with a long uncut tail. It is presumably male, white fur with black spots and a black spot around one eye.
The vet said Bella is lucky to be alive and much thanks to my daughter Jordan for her calmness in getting Bella to the emergency clinic.

The bill from the vet + prescriptions, etc. have exceeded $1,000.
Folks at the dog park have said they've seen the owner and dog before. Please help us identify this person so he can be held responsible.

Maggie DiMauro: i will keep my eye out. i never let my dogs off lease there. i really worry about that. The owner did not offer any information to you when this happened?

Tom Soderquist: Thanks Maggie.  No, the owner pulled his dog off and left the scene.
