FLORIDA -- Cape Coral Police conducted an investigation after a woman was bitten by a dog while walking through her neighborhood.
According to Jordanna Eaby, the dogs ran across the road from their home and jumped on her. One dog jumped playfully. However another came from behind and bit her back.
"He was standing his ground while I was standing mine to try and get him away," Eaby said. "I put my hand out and he latched onto my hand."
This is the dumbest thing I've read in awhile. This dog comes up from behind and BITES her and then stand there glaring at her and she STICKS HER HAND OUT??? The bite was a warning for you to get lost. Not make a move towards the dog by thrusting out your hand... Good Lord.
Days after the incident, Eaby's hand bears the bruises and remains swollen. A bandage covers one open wound. But she said the injuries aren’t serious.
Instead, she hopes everyone will consider how they keep their dogs to keep everyone safe.
The owners of the dogs involved said this was out of character for all three of their dogs, especially their oldest who's blamed for the recent bite.
The dogs are quarantined now on the property. Lee County Animal Services can then decide what, if anything, needs to be done to the dogs in response to the incident.
