Florida: Eleven year-old boy attacked by pit bull; grandmother says it took four men to pull the dog off of him

FLORIDA -- My 11 year old grandson got attacked by a pit bull on Laurie Avenue last Tuesday; Animal control has the dog in quarantine for 10 days: This dog was owned by the same woman who owned the pit bull who attacked a 4 year old child last year.

Fortunately my grandson got away with scrapes; bruises and a few stitches but he will be traumatized for years: It took 4 people to pull the dog off of him after he drug him through the yard and shook him like a rag doll: Please make the public aware of this woman and stop her from ever owning a dog again.

Natascha Hill: Thank you all for the kind words. My son is ok, just very shaken up, bruised and punctured. Animal control does have the dog. I've been contacted by the news and after reading these comments I will contact the police to file a report with them as well. I'm considering legal action. I could care less about getting any money as luckily his medical bills are taken care of, but I do feel the owner should be penalized and prevented from owning animals in the future. If we receive any monetary settlement I will donate a large portion to the bay county humane society.

Natascha Hill: Also I must say thank you to the guys working construction that dropped everything to come running to help. I wish I knew your names so i could thank you all personally. There's something wonderful about knowing there are still people willing to help others.

 
 


Note: It turns out that the pit bull that attacked this little boy belongs to Katrina Bracher, who owns four pit bulls, and these dogs have been terrorizing the neighborhood, biting adults and mauling children for a long, long time.
