Kentucky: Tammy Littlepage, 51, pleads guilty to animal cruelty. She left one dog to suffer in pain from untreated mange which turned him into one giant scab.

KENTUCKY -- A Graves County woman charged with animal cruelty has pleaded guilty.

The Graves County Court Clerk says 51-year-old Tammy Littlepage pleaded guilty Wednesday in Graves County District Court to four counts of animal cruelty.

Judge Deborah Crooks sentenced Littlepage to 90 days conditional discharge and a $100 fine for each count.

Littlepage was arrested Sept. 13 after the Graves County Sheriff's Office responded to her home on State Route 849 East in the Boaz community and reportedly found several dogs that were living in filth and in need of medical care.

Deputies said the inside of the home was covered in feces, urine and trash.

Four dogs were found inside and deputies said they were emaciated, malnourished, and one had been left to suffer with a horrific case of untreated mange. That dog, named Jamey by shelter staff, had to be euthanized, he was in so much pain.

As part of the deal, Littlepage also agreed to forfeit her dogs.
