Louisiana is a very sad place to be if you are an animal. It appears that skeletal, starving animals are routinely found that have been dumped and/or abandoned by their owners. Just clicking through St. Landry Parish's Facebook page is shocking. Yes, animal cruelty exists everywhere, but it seems they've really got a problem with it. Luckily, Louisiana also has many animal lovers who do their best with the limited funds they have to try to save animals and find them homes.
