Coventry Police found a female German Shepherd dog inside the home of Dylan Harris, 24, when they went to serve him with an arrest warrant on September 27 on Washington Street.
In the earlier incident, Harris was charged with Enticement of a Child and Obstructing an Officer — after police say Harris encouraged a teenage girl to leave a Smithfield home on September 13 and get into his car, with the intention of leaving the state with him.
When questioned, Harris LIED and told police he had not seen or spoken to the girl. However, when the girl was located in Coventry, she initially told police she had been abducted - but then later confessed that Harris had told her to say this in order to protect him.
While on the scene, police found a female German Shepard who was emaciated.
Authorities describe the home to be in deplorable conditions. They say the home was filled with animal feces, urine, and moldy food.
Animal Control responded and the German Shepard was transported to an area Animal Hospital for treatment.
Coventry Police Department charged Harris with two counts of Cruelty to Animals.
The German Shepard, now named “Bella,” is in the care of Animal Control Officer’s and her health has improved greatly at her last weight in she was up 10-lbs.

"Dylan Harris, 19, Pleads In Drug Possession Case"
A South Kingstown man has been sentenced in a case of drug possession that left him soaking wet last fall.
Dylan Harris, 19, of 2220 Post Road in South Kingstown pleaded no contest to an amended charge of possession of a controlled substances on September 24, 2010. Harris was arrested in 2010 after South Kingstown Police officers investigating a suspicious vehicle in the Riverside Cemetery in Wakefield found him attempting to hide chest-deep in a nearby river. A search of his person yielded several pills, later identified as Oxycontin.
After retrieving him from the river police found oxycodone pills on his person. On Monday, May 9 Superior Court Judge William Carnes sentenced Harris to serve one year of probation.

On Thursday, July 7 around 9:15 a.m. officers were dispatched to a Post Road residence in Perryville for a complaint of stolen items. The homeowner stated her son Dylan Harris, 20, of 8 North Road had taken a large amount of antique coins from her possession. Later that night officers on stationary post on Dale Carlia Road located Harris riding his bicycle. A database check confirmed that he was also wanted for failure to appear in Fourth District Court for a domestic assault charge. He was taken to SKPD and processed without incident.

"Dylan Harris, 21, arrested in Dartmouth for violating bail terms on child porn charge"
Dartmouth Police arrested a homeless man with an outstanding Rhode Island warrant on Saturday.
Dylan Harris, 21, was out on bail after the Rhode Island State Police arrested him in June on a child pornography charge.
In December, the Dartmouth Police Department and the Dartmouth School Department received anonymous letters expressing concern that Harris was known to frequent Dartmouth Street in South Dartmouth, where a number of schools and day care centers are located, according to Dartmouth Police Detective Kyle Costa.
A joint investigation between Dartmouth and Providence detectives determined that Harris violated the terms of his bail and was considered a “danger” if he remained at large. A warrant out from the Rhode Island Superior Court was issued for his arrest.
Harris is charged as a fugitive from justice in Massachusetts and was being held at the Bristol County Sheriff's Department before and is scheduled to appear in New Bedford District Court on Monday.+

Dartmouth Police arrested a homeless man with an outstanding Rhode Island warrant on Saturday.
An investigation began in early December after Dartmouth School Department and the Darmouth Police Department received letters of concern over presence of Dylan Harris in various locations in South Dartmouth.
Harris will appear in New Bedford district court on Monday for Fugitive From Justice charges.
