Second of 3 suspects wanted for 'armed robbery' surrenders to police
SOUTH CAROLINA -- The second of three suspects wanted for an armed robbery that occurred June 9 near Pitt and Montague streets surrendered to Charleston police Friday. Tavia Wiggins, 22, is charged with armed robbery. Wiggins surrendered to police around 2 p.m.
Another suspect, 21-year-old Raymond Eurie Jr., surrendered to police on June 15. Eurie also is charged with armed robbery.
Wiggins faced a judge on Saturday and was given a $75,000 surety bond under the condition that she not go to the incident location and not have any contact with either the victim or her co-defendant, Eurie.
According to court records, Eurie was only given a bond of $50,000 when he faced the judge on June 16.
According to the police report, the 38-year-old victim was sitting in his truck when a black male came up and pointed his hand "at the victim in the shape of a firearm."
Another black male came up to the passenger side, yelling and cursing while a black female stood by.Police say the victim thought the suspect was armed so he gave over $40.
The third suspect, 25-year-old Lakeith Edwards, is still wanted by the police in reference to this armed robbery. Anyone with information about Edwards can call Charleston Police at 577-7434 or Crime Stoppers at 554-1111.
