ARIZONA -- This post is irritating. The loose pit bull goes on the attack during a parade, attacks a Greyhound and nearly attacks its owner. The woman puts her injured dog on top of this guy's car to keep it from being attacked again by the pit bull... and the car owner sees that there are scratches on the car. He wants the VICTIM to pay for the damage.
Talk about blaming the victim. How much is the victim's vet bill for her Greyhound after it was attacked by the pit bull? And you want her to pay for a new paint job for your car?
Why not put the call out on Facebook asking who the pit bull owner is and demand that they pay for the damage? After all, were it not for their vicious dog running loose trying to attack people and pets, his car wouldn't have been scratched.
Over the weekend just before the Western Navajo Fair parade a lady who was sitting by us had her greyhound attacked by a muscular pit bull who got free from his leash.
Her dog barked at the pit, and when it came running, the greyhound cowered toward my vehicle, trying to claw its way up the side possibly into the window. It all happened so fast, and the lady went hysterical, which I can't blame her for.
For fear that the pit bull would turn on the lady as she tried to pull her dog away, and because there were kids close by, I jumped in the middle of all this, laid on top of the pit bull, and put it in a rear naked choke type of a hold.
It wasn't my pit, but thankfully I had it tight enough to where it stopped it's attack, and was smart enough not to attack me. I was then able to calm the pit bull down, and eventually even placed his collar back around his massive neck for the owner.
As the situation began to de-intensify I noticed the lady put her greyhound ON THE HOOD OF MY VEHICLE!!!
I politely asked her to take her dog off my car and immediately looked to see that there were already several noticeable scratches on it, which I told her about right away.
I understood that she had just gone through a very intense ordeal all within the matter of a few seconds, and that her dog was slightly injured, so I just told her what was done, gave her my info, and left it up to her in good faith to contact me about fixing it.
So far I haven't heard from her, and today after washing my car I noticed a LOT more scratches between the driver's side door and the front left fender.
I'm sharing this story because I'd really like my car fixed!
And I'm hoping that one of you out there who works at the hospital in Tuba knows who she is because that's where she said she works.
She's an Asian lady possibly in her late 30's early 40's. Possibly around 5'2-5'5" tall with an athletic build and hair long enough to put in a pony tail. She may have had glasses on but I can't be too certain anymore.
The greyhound is approximately a year, to a year and a half according to her, and it's a fairly small and wiry dog that's a gray/brindle color, and male if I'm not mistaken.
If you know who this lady might be, and possibly work with her, can you please let me know who she is. Or at least let her know that I'm trying to reach out to her, and that she needs to contact me through the number I gave her.
Remind her politely of the gentleman who saved her dog's ass, and quite possibly hers too, and inform her respectfully that I'd appreciate it if she took care of the damage her greyhound did to my car.
Thank you for your help. 😆
