NEW YORK -- A town man has been charged with animal cruelty after the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office said they found horses in poor living conditions on his property.
David A. Sahler, 54, of 137 Getman Road was charged with animal cruelty on Thursday.
Deputies said they received an anonymous complaint about the horses living in poor conditions.
When deputies went to investigate, they found two horses unable to access water due to manure being too deep to walk in. The horses also did not have any water due to it being frozen over and no effort was taken to keep the water unfrozen.
Sahler was given a ticket for town court on a later date.
