Texas: Boy taken to hospital after attack by Sheepdog in Cypress park

TEXAS -- A 10-year-old boy was taken to the hospital after being attacked by a dog while playing in a park in Cypress on Wednesday.

Precinct 4 Constable Mark Herman says the boy was trying to pet a sheepdog when it suddenly bit the child's face.

The incident happened at Hadfield Park Wednesday afternoon.

We're told the boy is undergoing reconstructive surgery. The dog's owner was cited for not having his dog on a leash.
