Georgia: Cameron Tucker, whose 2 dogs mauled a small boy to death, has charges upgraded to involuntary manslaughter. Meanwhile, the media is now calling the pit bull mix a Border Collie

GEORGIA -- Charges have been upgraded for the man whose dogs attacked two children, killing one and leaving the second seriously injured.

Cameron Tucker made his first court appearance Wednesday morning after spending the night in the Fulton County jail.

Tucker was arrested Tuesday after police determined the dogs belonged to him. He was initially charged with two counts of reckless conduct, but an involuntary manslaughter charge was added prior to his court appearance.

Logan Braatz, 6, and Syari Sanders, 5, were walking to their bus stop on Gideons Drive in southwest Atlanta when they were attacked by two dogs.

Logan died from his injuries, and Syari underwent emergency surgery. She remained at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston on Wednesday.

One of the dogs involved in the attack was a pit bull mix and the other was a border collie, according to Fulton County Animal Control.

Tucker’s bond was set at $70,000. He is not allowed to be near animals and must avoid the victims’ families as conditions of his bond.

BORDER COLLIE?

The police report lists the dogs as pit bulls. Once the dogs were taken to the shelter, they decided to list one dog as a Border Collie. If anything, this dog is a Border Collie - Pit Bull mix. It most certainly is not a Border Collie.

Cameron Tucker posted this photo of himself in 2012 with his two dogs, which are clearly pit bulls.

The only thing that says Border Collie to me about that dog is that it's black and white. However, that stocky, muscular barrel chest says pit bull (aka bully breed).

The seller described the dog as a Pit Bull Border Collie mix

BUT WAIT. THIS IS WHAT ANIMAL CONTROL SAYS:
