United Kingdom: Cops hunt four people after video showing man ‘sexually abusing’ a dog is posted on Facebook

UNITED KINGDOM -- Four people are being hunted by police after a man allegedly sexually abused a dog.

A video of the ‘attack’ emerged on Facebook, which shocked viewers claim shows a white boxer dog being ‘abused’ and ‘beaten’ by a group of men.

The footage has since been removed from the social media site, with the account involved said to belong to a man from Peterborough.

Cambridgeshire Police confirmed it was investigating the alleged abuse after being called in by the RSPCA.

A Cambridgeshire police spokesman said: “We were contacted by the local RSPCA Inspector for Peterborough regarding reports of a video published on social media of a man sexually abusing a dog.

“We are working with the RSPCA to identify and locate those allegedly involved and take any appropriate action.”

A number of Facebook users who viewed the video have posted comments talking of their disgust.

Commenting online, Facebook user Natalie Jade said: “Never have I been so shocked, nauseous, disturbed and helpless to what I feel right now.”

An RSPCA spokesman appealed for help tracing the animal, saying: "We are working with Cambridgeshire Police and would like to hear from anyone who may have seen the video themselves or who has a copy of the video to contact police on 101 or our appeal line on 0300 123 8018."
