GEORGIA -- A 38-year-old man reported he was walking on the sidewalk in front of Red & Black Package on Oconee Street Monday morning when a pit bull attacked him, Athens-Clarke County police said.
The man fought off the dog, which ran away on Dublin Street, according to police.
The man suffered multiple bite wounds and was taken by ambulance to Piedmont Athens Regional Medical Center, police said.
