LOUISIANA -- The Humane Society of Louisiana and Washington Parish Sheriff's office are offering a reward for information into the shooting deaths of five puppies in Angie, LA.
Officials with the HSL says that Saturday February 19, 2017, an animal rescuer spotted five labrador mix puppies near an intersection in Angie, Louisiana.
The individual made them comfortable, providing them with blankets and some food, planning to return later and remove them from the area [once they had found placement for them with a shelter or foster home].
Humane Society officials says that suspects in this incident would likely be charged with aggravated cruelty to animals and those convicted face up to 10 years in jail and up to $25,000 in fines per count, although lower penalties are often handed down to first offenders.
