Virginia: Woman's Chihuahua mauled to death by her boyfriend's Pit bull mix

VIRGINIA -- A Chihuahua has died after another dog attacked her at a home in Suffolk Thursday afternoon.

A city spokesperson confirmed dispatchers received a call at 12:45 p.m. about a dog attack in the 100 block of Red Top Court.

Suffolk Police and Animal Control responded and secured the pit bull/lab mix on the property that had attacked the Chihuahua.

The city official says the female Chihuahua belonged to the male Pit bull / Labrador owner’s girlfriend.

I'm sure she was cautious at first when bringing her little dog around her boyfriend's pit mix. The pit mix probably appeared to tolerate the Chihuahua so she relaxed and didn't keep such a close eye on him. Then that day came when something "triggered" the pit bull and it mauled her little dog to death. 

If her boyfriend doesn't put his dog down, she needs to dump him.
