New York: Emily Bywater and Greg Wilber charged with animal cruelty; five German Shepherds seized

NEW YORK -- Two people are facing charges after the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office says they seized five German Shepherds after an investigation into reported animal cruelty.

Officials say they took the dogs from a home on Maple Hill Road in the town of Canajoharie and arrested Emily Bywater and Gregory Wilber on charges of misdemeanor animal cruelty.

Bywater and Wilber were released on an appearance ticket for the Town of Canajoharie Court on August 17th.

The German Shepards are still with the county SPCA for evaluation at this time.
